If we want to follow Christ, we have to give up everything and go with him. To follow Christ is to get a lot of good things in this life and to spend all of eternity with God. So how hard is it? Yes, it is sometimes. Life is hard, though. Is the load light, as Jesus said it would be? Yes, because we know that our lives aren&#8217;t wasted, that we&#8217;re living life the way God planned, and that when life is over, it&#8217;s not really over! We get to go home to be with our Lord.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Thought<\/p>\n<p>We could call it the irony of following Christ. If we want to follow Christ, we have to give up everything and go with him. To follow Christ is to get a lot of good things in this life and to spend all of eternity with God. So how hard is it? Yes, it is sometimes. Life is hard, though. Is the load light, as Jesus said it would be? Yes, because we know that our lives aren&#8217;t wasted, that we&#8217;re living life the way God planned, and that when life is over, it&#8217;s not really over! We get to go home to be with our Lord.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Prayer<\/p>\n<p>God, give me the courage I need to face the challenges I have to face. Give me kindness so I can treat people the right way. Give me gratitude for all the good things you&#8217;ve done for me. Help me see that living for Jesus is the best thing I could do.
