Is it the result of a lucky break? Does it happen because we are so good that we deserve it? Does it come from following every law to the letter? No! &#8220;The tender mercy of our God&#8221; is the source of both salvation and forgiveness.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Thought<\/p>\n<p>How does someone get saved? Does it come from the feeling that something is very wrong and that we need to fix it? Does it come from making things look better so we don&#8217;t get down on ourselves and give up? Is it the result of a lucky break? Does it happen because we are so good that we deserve it? Does it come from following every law to the letter? No! &#8220;The tender mercy of our God&#8221; is the source of both salvation and forgiveness.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Prayer<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m sorry, Father, but I&#8217;ve tried to earn my way to heaven. At other times, I have taken your mercy and grace for granted and stepped on them. Today, Father, I want to live for you, not to be saved or get saved, but to make you happy and show you what kind of person I am. Your mercy and grace have saved me from a worthless way of life that so many people around me are stuck in. Please help me live in a way that shows the joy of being saved by you in everything I say, think, and do. In Jesus&#8217; precious name I pray.
