As well as serving large crowds, Jesus also ministered to individuals. However, when he is alone with his disciples, away from the crowds, he imparts the most profound teachings about discipleship. It is not sufficient for mature disciples to be called to the next level of their Savior-centered walk based on what is acceptable to the crowd. For this reason, Jesus withdrew to teach a small group of devoted disciples in order to prepare them for the challenges they would face in the future.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Thought<\/p>\n<p>It is common for us to attempt to attract large numbers of people to our churches, crusades, and rallies.
